Digging or dozing, the Kubota U35 performs like no other compact excavator in its class. That's because the U35 is packed with innovative features that work together to get the job done faster and easier. Zero-Tail Swing, digital panel, optional hydraulic thumb bracket, short stroke operating levers, and independent fuel filter/water separator...it's a bold new level of design and performance in the compact excavator class.

ZERO-TAIL SWING
Zero-Tail Swing virtually eliminates costly damage to the engine hood and side panels when working in tight situations or near structures. As the U35 rotates, the counterweight area stays inside the width of the tracks, letting you concentrate on the job in front without worrying about hitting objects at the back or side. For added safety and improved operator visibility, the engine hood is set 5 inches inside the edge of the counterweight.

DIGITAL PANEL A new digital panel and the Kubota Intelligent Control System (KICS) combine to providing accurate and timely diagnostic readings and routine maintenance alerts that can help reduce excavator downtime and repair fees. The panel not only lets you know when fuel is running low, but warns you during refueling when the tank is nearly full.

Easy Operation

Operator Comfort
The U35's spacious, ultra-quiet operating area keeps the operator refreshed and working at peak efficiency. A high-back suspension seat, and adjustable wrist rests reduce fatigue, while controls and levers are positioned to provide more deck space and foot room. The optional cab design minimizes sound and engine vibration levels. A flick of the T.P.S.S. (Two Pattern Selection System) switch lets the operator quickly change between ISO and SAE operating patterns without tools or leaving the seat.

High-back Suspension Seat
The ergonomic high-back seat features improved suspension and a new headrest for enhanced comfort, greater work efficiency, and reduced fatigue.

Short Stroke Operating Levers
The new operating levers require less effort and shorter movements, ensuring improved control, responsiveness, and comfort, and reduced operator fatigue. Only a flick of the wrist is needed for smooth excavator operation.

Proportional Flow Auxiliary Switch
Repositioned from the floor, a convenient thumb-operated switch enables easy operation of thumbs and other hydraulic attachments such as augers and breakers.

2-Speed Travel Switch
The new 2-speed travel switch is now mounted on the dozer lever for easier operation and control and advanced, user-friendly travel speed changes.

New Wrist Rest
Adjust the new custom wrist rests to your favorite position, or just move them aside. Either way, they help reduce arm movement and operator fatigue for increased job efficiency.

Simple Forefinger Operation
For some special applications that require continuous oil flow such as a brush cutter. The on/off button controlled by the forefinger reduces operator fatigue.

An increased hydraulic oil flow rate of 10.3 gpm enables the U35 to employ a variety of hydraulic attachments, like hydraulic hammers and augers. And a wider selection of attachments means a wider variety of jobs you can accomplish.

Maintenance / Safety

Engine Hood

No key is required for daily or periodic maintenance. With the push of a button, the engine hood opens wide to allow quick and easy access to the engine, fuel tank, coolant reservoir, and hydraulic components. Anti-vandalism locking is also standard feature.

Easy Fuel Filter/Water Separator Access

Improved and now easier to access, the independent water separator and fuel filter provide enhanced fuel and water filtration, increased durability and greater overall excavator performance.

Accumulator

The accumulator makes replacing attachments safer and more efficient. Turning the key to the "on" position clears residual pressure in the auxiliary hyd. hose, preventing oil from spewing out when replacing attachments. If the engine is accidentally shut off while the front attachment is raised, turning the key to the "on" position allows you to safely lower it.

ROPS/FOPS Canopy and Cab
The U35's canopy and cab provide complete protection from accidental rollovers and falling objects. Both surpass international testing standards for ROPS/FOPS to ensure an extra level of safety and security on the job.

Easy Maintenance
